For the past five years, Mark Calderara has been closely involved with planning and onboarding contingent workers to address large volume seasonal needs, as well as work stoppage and crisis events. He leads the clinical service line of Kaiser Permanente’s national contingent talent management program, which offers contingent staffing, RPO, named resource and direct source services.

Amid the pandemic, Calderara’s role takes on a new significance as the Kaiser CW program is fully engaged in filling supplemental positions across the country to help mitigate medical issues related to Covid and non-Covid issues. Calderara’s program is now developing a hub model in order to float contingent workers to fill vacancies in high census locations.

Calderara also manages the MSP relationship and implements new strategies to ensure fulfillment success across all Kaiser Permanente regions. He is most proud of the relationships that he has been able to develop with both the supplier and internal contacts to increase business opportunities and ensure fulfillment success that leads to increased patient care.

He has extensive regional and national experience in commercial and professional placement. Calderara eventually branched out into the area of clinical/nursing and it professional services. Throughout his career he has led and supported a variety of MSP programs from a business development, strategic/delivery/fulfillment and compliance standpoint.
