Dennis Dragatogiannis recently completed a first-stage statement-of-work analysis project at DXC Technology, auditing contractor data in key DXC locations of India and Malaysia. The project, developed in close parternship with AGS, resulted in the reclassification of 730 to 740 workers, moving them into a VMS/MSP program as agency workers, and saving about $2 million in savings annually. The reclassification program will drive an average rate reduction in the range of 35% when the two-stage initiative concludes.

Dragatogiannis’ program serves DXC’s global supply chain operations. It includes more than 4,000 agency contractors, mostly in IT, and north of $320 million in spend globally.

The biggest challenge has been changing behaviors within the business, says Dragatogiannis, global labor executive, strategy and programs. But it’s will deliver material, bottom-line savings for the business, he says.

Dragatogiannis has 25 years of experience in contingent workforce management. He began his career with Electronic Data Systems, which merged with HP and then split into HP Enterprise Services. HP Enterprise completed the spin-merger of its Enterprise Service segment to form DXC Technology. That entity outsourced the management of its contingent workforce solution to AGS, and the two entities merged to create the new DXC Technology two and a half years ago.

The classification review project has brought centralized and visible data to DXC and consolidated its suppliers. And while the big challenge remains human behavior, under Dragatogiannis’ leadership, DXC’s hiring managers are seeing the value, engaging early and getting their demands fulfilled.
