As global sourcing manager for Intel, Sandy Slinker oversees a program that covers a broad range of labor categories across 18 countries, with plans to add four more on the horizon.

With more than 30 years’ experience, she has challenged the status quo at every turn, pushed boundaries and laid a solid foundation for Intel’s flexible workforce program with an eye toward expansion and sustainability.

To that end, Slinker has created a center of excellence comprised of experts from legal, risk, policy and compliance. Having a strong team working behind the scenes lets Intel’s stakeholders focus on quality and securing the talent they need to get work done. The program has grown and evolved under her tutelage to leverage highly skilled workers in the gig economy including SOWs, project-based workers and outsourced ICs.

Slinker has also been a champion for innovation, spearheading the development of a global tail spend management program with RFx enablement. Her efforts delivered several million dollars in cost savings last year and supplier diversity spend that exceeds 22% of the total staffing spends.

Moving forward, Slinker plans to continue her mission of providing quality talent and consistent service delivery to Intel stakeholders across the globe while being fiscally responsible. For over three decades, she has been driven and energized by the desire to get and stay ahead of the talent curve.
