As senior manager, global contingent workforce at cloud data firm Snowflake, Natalie Javid oversees a global contingent program that boasts 100% growth year over year.

When Javid joined Snowflake three years ago, the organization had no MSP or VMS in place. “[Snowflake] needed someone to build this program from the ground up,” she shares. “And one of my favorite things to do is build!” Having prior experience building out CW programs and strategies for ServiceNow and Airbnb, Javid was just the right person to help the organization launch its global MSP and VMS program, a feat that was accomplished in under a year.

Since the program’s implementation, Javid has helped guide its growth with a focus on efficiency and compliance. She is particularly proud that the program’s technology has streamlined the hiring process so managers have all their contingent workers’ documentation and information in one place. Additionally, the program enables them to measure metrics for their staffing partners to ensure they’re meeting Snowflake’s needs.

Javid has also helped bolster her program’s compliance by building out manager trainings. “We still consult and advise and guide them,” she notes, adding that this training program supplements the company’s foundational knowledge base to help avoid risks such as co-employment and misclassification.

In addition to building and developing Snowflake’s contingent program, Javid also incorporates DE&I initiatives to ensure contingent employees are treated fairly and feel a sense of belonging within the organization.
