Currently serving as the manager of the global contingent workforce, Jenni Jones recently celebrated her two-year anniversary with Amazon. As a relative newcomer to the CW space, Jones brings to the table a strong background in HR, including five years in talent acquisition. “I wanted a new challenge,” she says. “There are so many things to master in this space, whether that is the temp labor category or independent contractor compliance. Each day brings a new problem to solve.”

She demonstrated her managerial capacity in 2018, when natural turnover led to the loss of over half her staff; she took the opportunity to specifically reform the group with new faces who are equally passionate about the CW community. “My team and the value they bring to the business is near and dear to my heart. We’re doing meaningful work, and we all feel that way at the end of each day.”

When working with a company as large as Amazon, a strong team is a necessary asset, Jones says. She notes that her team’s biggest challenge is trying to deliver high-quality, high-impact solutions en masse, always staying customer obsessed. The CW program is a key component of the Amazon workforce with the ability to impact the bottom line in measurable ways. To that end, Jones and her team work to solve problems at scale and deliver out-of-the-box solutions that enable growth.
