PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Principal Brian Snarzyk leads all third-party labor programs within PwC’s Advisory line of business, which includes the use of third-party suppliers and PwC’s direct sourcing initiative, Talent Exchange. He has been leading the third-party labor efforts for about 10 years, as an adjunct to leading the company’s overall global delivery model for the business.

Through its most recent fiscal year ending this summer, PwC has delivered more than 1.2 million hours of third-party labor across all of the company’s vertical business units and competencies; this includes diverse skills (management, IT and strategy consulting) and reflects a wide range of levels.

The launch of PwC’s Talent Exchange is a significant point of pride for Snarzyk. With a vision of changing the way professional services firms work with freelance workers, PwC built and deployed a “marketplace” that allows for direct connection of PwC professionals with the vast and growing independent talent market. He notes that over the past few years, the company has shifted from 100% of its third-party labor coming from traditional suppliers to now nearly 80% through its Talent Exchange marketplace.

During these months of working through the Covid-19 shutdown, Snarzyk says the program has remained a centerpiece of PwC’s delivery model. “The pandemic provides a proof point on the need for a flexible workforce in the future,” he asserts.
