With nearly a decade of CW management under her belt, Ashleigh Koehler (center) is a veteran in the CW industry. Since joining JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2017, the VP of category sourcing has worked on various projects to address the challenges facing delivery teams today, including supplier RFPs to evaluate and implement new staffing and services providers.

Recent changes in the CW environment offer additional channels to find talent, including talent clouds, more online platforms, and different services to train incoming talent. Taking advantage of this, Koehler implemented the Emerging Talent program, bringing her CW program one step closer toward total talent management. The program offers managers a different channel to procure talent besides traditional corporate recruiting or staff augmentation.

Within the program, suppliers source entry-level graduates, upskill them for two to three months in high-demand technology skill sets, and even provide soft skills training. At the end of the program, the candidates have the equivalent of two to three years of experience, resulting in a quicker speed to productivity once deployed.

Moving forward, Koehler plans to focus on workforce agility and continuous improvement opportunities by staying current with new solutions introduced to the CW ecosystem. “Continuous improvement is an important factor in helping to achieve the ultimate goal of providing our managers with the best channels to find the right talent for the right project, and at  the right time,” she says.
